Travels in Minneapolis + My Favorite Shop Spot | The Foundry
I'm back!! First of all, I've been MIA because a. I went traveling, b. work is crazy + c. de-fleaing cats is basically + should be considered, a full time job. But, let's go back to "a", I went to visit my sister in Minneapolis for a few days! We were definitely in need of some sister time + there's no better way to do that than eat amazing food, walk all over town, get pedicures, sit by a lake + check out some killer shops. I gotta say Minneapolis far exceeded my expectations + I fell in love with the town!
Minneapolis has a midwestern vibe mixed with an artistic flair + a ton of history. I really knew nothing of this town before I visited + I was shocked at how welcome I felt + inspired by the landscape. We spent most of our time exploring the town on foot so we could see all the shops tucked away in nooks and crannies. We sat by Lake Calhoun + chatted about life as we watched the still water lap along the waters edge. The food was killer at Spoon + Stable + the shopping could not be beat over at The Foundry.

Favorite Shop spot | The Foundry
I heard about The Foundry via Instagram + was almost more excited to check out this shop than to go see my sister (just kidding...?) No really, I fell in love with the shop the second we turned the corner. The massive vintage brick building with a small lawn out front is picturesque + there's a trough full of water for all the dogs that stop by, including the shop's resident pup Ruby, who can usually be seen hanging out here.
The shop itself is relatively small but packs all the amazing products in without feeling overwhelming. From delicate wooden spoons, to ceramics by local artists, The Foundry's got all your minimalist + craftsman home good needs. What I love the most however is how much of a staple this shop is for the neighborhood. They host events throughout the year for all their neighbors to come + mingle.
