Flea Feature | Rose Bowl Flea
A.K.A The Mother Flea
The mother of all flea markets has finally hit my pages. After spending most of my life in Southern California I finally got the chance to hit up the Rose Bowl Flea Market + boy, I was N O T disappointed! I saw so many amazing pieces from vintage paintings, to more textiles than I've ever seen in my life, table ware + kitchen goods, to even, R2-D2. They also provide various food choices (went with the breakfast burrito) + beer + wine, I'm definitely grabbing a drink next time around.
The Goods
First of all, the space is gigantic. We only had the energy to shop in one section, the orange section, which is probably 1/4 of the whole flea. But, this section was where it was at. With furniture dealers, repurposed goods + tons of clothing we had plenty to peruse. Without a doubt, if you're looking for unique textiles + rugs, this will be your jam. We were looking for a beautiful rug to use as the alter at a wedding + found one for only $100. What a steal.
There was a generous mix of items from clothing + home goods to plants + knock-offs. The only downside of it being so large is there are so many vendors! Majority of them are amazing, but you'll see a few you shouldn't even bother with.
I tried to capture an array of items, however I got so distracted I missed out on a lot of amazing pieces. I'll be back month after month to capture you many more finds!
so many crystals...
The Atmosphere
The flea was buzzing with an eclectic mix of L.A people + out-of-towners. From super hip gals who walked off the page of a Free People catalog, to your bohemian granny + antique collector, everyone was there to check out the goods. The vibe altogether was relaxed, excited + eager to find the finds! All the vendors I interacted with were wonderful. They definitely want to bargain here, every single one of them wanted to work with me + get the price to a reasonable place. Overall, L O V E D the vibe + people!
Aren't these a m a z i n g ?!
My Flea Finds
There was a plethora of plants to choose from, however I fell in love with this pink tinted Aloe plant from For the Love of Cacti.
I also walked away with these adorable Vintage Noritake Green + White tea cups, it's hard to resist that pastel green + gold rim.
