Friday Faves | Color Love | Muted Tones of Mustard, Blush + Dew
It's kind of an ode to classical Renaissance interiors + a refined take on the color explosion of the 60's, all edited down with modern saturation + to me, it couldn't be more perfect. The color trifecta of mustard, blush + dew (which is my color invention for anything light blue or green-ish), has been a favorite color combo of mine since I was a babe. Whether it's soft + muted, or brilliant + saturated, there are so many ways to do justice to this color palette + I'm pretty sure angels sing when they're so perfectly used together.
I still remember rolling up to pre-k in my mustard t-shirt, blue jeans + pink fringe cowboy boots feeling pretty on top of the world. I like to think I've refined my taste a bit but, one thing I do know, that color combo is still standing strong.
As much as I loved wearing this combo as a kid, I've found the true beauty of this trifecta is at it's best in a home, where the mustard throw plays brilliantly next to the soft blush linen duvet, all harmonized by that faint touch of dusty blue pillows.
